笔记: The team is meant to be an offensively aggressive leaning team that helps keep the opposing side on their toes, yet while having some defensive capabilities for when the opponent stops being defensive. Also this team isn’t exactly restrictive to a set strategy as each Pokemon on the team is capable of setting up their own form of attack or counter play despite being unpopular and under-utilised Pokemon. Hence they are not so seen on the competitive side alike other Pokemon granting them the name “The Rookies.” Which could potentially be a great team for beginners in battling. Ideally you can lead with any but the recommended for when you wish to setup is Crawdaunt with their capability to start up the battle with Swords Dance when your opponent uses a leading setup such as Glimmora or really any Pokemon that sets hazards and performs stall as you can either Aqua Jet immediately or Swords Dance depending on what they lead off with. Note, if your opponent plans to use a physical move you can switch into Golem to tank it in which case you should use the move charge to boost Sp Def either multiple times or in the case of an extreme event it is recommended to use a last resort which would be Explosion after a charge. And also it is normal tera since you won’t be getting any resistances but for the super effective fighting type moves, they’ll be lessened in damage due to the Def bulk that golem has since a majority of fighting moves are physical and charge makes up the Sp Def. Note, Chandelure mainly should use Inferno first to either land a heavy fire type move or miss to activate blunder policy in which case would make Chandelure fast enough to make a difference. And with its surprising defensive base stats you can utilise it to make it so Chandelure is great offensively and defensively. Also you’ve probably figured it out by now as the grass tera is utilised to make use of it’s ability flash fire along with boosting energy ball against a fire type’s usual weakness of Water, Ground and Rock. Note, Appletun is a strange gimmicky character as the goal is to try and trick the opponent into lowering HP down to berry usage in which your Starf Berry will be eaten; but not only will it grant a random boost, the boost isn’t +2 and will be +4 to a random stat due to the ability ripen. The goal is to use recover to continuously heal so that you may tank more and more hits to greed off stat boosters from your opponent’s attacks via the usage of Recycle each time after a recover and a berry consumption. And if they try to set up on you during this you can either switch out or use apple acid to lower their Sp Def and hit them with a STAB Dragon Pulse to either get them up and going into attacking you, force a switch out or in rare cases cause a faint. Note, Alolan Ninetales is capable of setting up defensively for itself due to having a high Spe base stat but most importantly being about to set up Snow/Hail and Aurora Veil as it’s Spe Def are good yet it’s Def is lacking hence the Snow’s boost to said Def and Aurora Veil’s damage cut to both Def and Sp Def. It has Blizzard which will ignore accuracy in snow as the move’s Desc tells and does nice STAB with it’s base power of 110 which is why it has higher Sp Atk and not Sp Def in EVs as your set up will already help defence. Moonblast is a great heavy hitter in STAB with base power of 95 and 30% Spe Atk drop and of course Ice Shard which is a good priority move as it also would be STAB and boosted in the snow. I personally would call it a “Poke” move due to being a swift light attack to chip damage but it wouldn’t be popularise nor anyone would ever use such a term let alone in a game like Pokemon. Note, Dodrio is an interesting case as it can be used as either a physical sweeper or a counter-sweep as with it’s Drill Moves you can deal STAB Drill Peck and with coverage you can utilise Drill Run; especially with Drill Runs increased Crit Ratio. But the main gimmick of it is using Endure to not only make it eat it’s berry which is Salac Berry that will increase your speed but also boosting the base power of Flail to 200; and that’s not even taking account the normal STAB. So with Dodrio it might be gimmicky and kind of one trick only, but it is pretty fun to run. And that’s about it. I hope you enjoy this team. Also keep in mind that it’s not supposed to be overly powerful in competitive play but it can be quite a solid team during casual play.
